ABUJA – The Minister of State for Finance, Alhaji Bashir Yuguda, in Abuja on Thursday said that adherence to Nigeria’s tax laws was imperative for success of business relation between the country and Poland.
Yuguda said this when the Polish Undersecretary for the Economy, Mr Andrzej Dycha, and the country’s Ambassador to Nigeria, Mr Przemyslaw Niesiolowski, visited him.
“Adherence to Nigeria’s taxation laws is a key component for the bilateral agreement between Nigeria and Poland to flourish,” he said.
The minister said that the Federal Government had set up a framework through Foreign Direct Investment (FDI), to encourage private businesses in Nigeria.
He said that the current figure of FDIs in the country in one year was over five billion Dollars, adding that Nigeria was committed to protecting the interest of foreign investors.
According to him, government has provided the enabling environment for foreign investors to compete with local investors. [eap_ad_1] He also urged the Polish Government to participate in Nigeria’s energy, agriculture and aviation sectors.

“Nigeria is the fastest growing market in Africa and we need to help Nigeria to realise her potentials,” he said.
Earlier, the visiting undersecretary said that two cars produced in Poland were already undergoing test in Nigeria to determine their suitability to the environment.
