Abuja (Sundiata Post) – Presidential candidate of the Action Democratic Party, Engr. Y. Y Sani has said that Nigeria has no business being poverty as the country is blessed with enormous human and material resources to turn thing around for the benefit and well-being of all Nigerians.
Engr Sani therefore identified lack of good leadership over the years as the missing link and said that is why he has presented himself under the platform of the Action Democratic Party (ADP) to provide the long eluded good leadership.
He described himself as the all-round most qualified amongst the presidential candidates that are contesting in the February 2019 general election.
According to him, “There is a general consensus that the next president should be a northerner, I am from the north; must be a muslim, I am a muslim; must be educated, I am more educated than all the contestants today from the north and I have the national and international connection than anyone else. Adding that he just returned from a United States and United Kingdom where he met with the business community there and said they promised to throw their weight behind the party (ADP).
He disclosed this on Wednesday during a crucial meeting between the leadership of the Action Democratic Party (ADP) and candidates of the party contesting for various political positions across the country on modalities the party would adopt to emerge victorious at the forthcoming general election.
Engr Sani who said the party needs to synergize, warned contesters of different political offices against anti-party activities when he asked members to campaign for the party candidates at all levels instead of being selective.
“You cannot tell the electorate to vote for the party for this particular position and to vote another party or candidate for another position, by so doing, you are de-marketing the party, and it will be difficult to get back the electorates to vote for such person”, he said. He therefore called on members of the party to support the party to win in their respective areas.
The presidential candidate said that the ADP emerged at this period to rescue Nigeria from the current looming precipice confronting her, bemoaned the level of division and insecurity witnessed in Nigeria today.
“Nigerians are more divided today than ever, the insecurity in the country today – Boko Haram, Niger Delta militancy, IPOB and other unrest are due to poor economic management and Nigeria has no business with poverty with the right leadership and proper plan. In fact Nigeria is about to crumble – a situation where you are not sure of the next meal; unemployment has risen Engr Sani said.
The Action Democratic Party (ADP) will change the narrative; I believe the ADP has a role to play to rescue Nigerians from the precipice, so vote for the ADP, vote for Engr Y.Y Sani.
He called on the youth which constitutes the greater number of the electorate to vote him and ADP in the February and March election to save Nigeria from imminent crumbling.
He commended the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for releasing comprehensive list of voters which he said will help ADP to plan better. He warned the current leadership not to compromise INEC by inducing it with money.
The presidential candidate who reminded Nigerians that those with power today lack the knowledge to take the country away from its present woes, called on the electorates to vote ADP for a paradigm shift as vote to APC will amount to vote to the cabal which the wife of the president Aisha Buhari said has hijacked power from her husband, President Buhari.
