Cameroon took a huge step towards qualification for the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations with a 2-0 victory over Sierra Leone on Wednesday.
Leony Kweuke opened the scoring for the Indomitable Lions after only four minutes and Stephane Mbia added the second three minutes later, the BBC reports.
That proved enough for Cameroon to bounce back from being held to a 0-0 draw when the sides met last Saturday.
All Wednesday’s games are the reverse fixtures from last weekend.
Maximum points for Cameroon means they and Ivory Coast will both seal a place at next year’s tournament in Morocco if the Elephants complete a double over DR Congo in Group D’s later kick-off but the Ivorians were down by 3-1 as the time of this report.
