Lagos – Tobi Alabi, Sweden-based Nigerian Disco Jockey, (DJ), also known as Dj Lv, says afro beats and Hip Hop music are making waves in the Scandinavia.
Alabi told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on the telephone from Gothenburg, Sweden on Wednesday that Nigerian music was gaining ground and becoming popular in the Scandinavia.
“ My name is Tobi Alabi, popularly known as Dj Lv. My kind of music is afro beats and Hip Hop. I introduced these brand of music and Azonto to clubs in Sweden.
“ Afro beats and Hip Hop music are now played regularly in major clubs, concerts, and venues in Sweden and other countries in the Scandinavia. It shows that Nigerian music is gaining acceptability in Europe and other parts of the world,” he said.
Alabi said that he had worked and toured with super mega artists in Africa and Europe.
“ My dedication to afro beats music made it easier for me to able to work and tour with Super Mega artiste and also as tour DJ in Africa and Europe.
“ Dj Lv has backed up Davido, Timaya, Popcaan, Jah Vinchi, Gyptian, Busy Signal, Tekno, L.A.X, Awilo, Petaah Morgan, Oritse Femi, Skales, Patoranking.
“ Dj Lv will be Olamide Badoo official tour Dj in 2018,” Alabi said.
He said that had been in the music industry for more than 10 years and worked with award-winning artiste in USA, Europe, and Africa.
“ Afro beats and Hip-hop music are very popular in the Scandinavia. We are working hard to promote African music and culture in this part of the world, Alabi, who is also a producer and promoter, said. (NAN)
