Akko (Gombe State) -The Gombe State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA), on Tuesday, presented mattresses, mats, mosquito nets, soaps, and blankets among others, to victims of flood in Wuro-Dole, Akko Local Government Area of the state.
SEMA’s Executive Secretary, Dr Arab Rukuje said the materials were to assist them to cushion the effect of property they lost during the disaster.[pro_ad_display_adzone id=”10″]
Rukuje, represented by Relief and Rehabilitation Officer, Malam Mohammed Garba, urged the victims to regard the flood as an act of God and pray against future occurrence.
He said the agency had gone round to assess 46 houses damaged by the flood.
The Village Head, Alhaji Usaini Ishaku, thanked the State Government for the quick response to the victims whose valuables had been washed away by the flood. (NAN)
