Chairman of the South West Governors’ Forum and Ondo state Governor, Rotimi Akeredolu has assured that the controversial Western Nigeria Security Network code named “Operation Amotekun” has come to stay.
But he gave a caveat that the South West Governors and the Attorney General and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami have agreed to work together to find a middle ground to resolve the issue.
Speaking to State House Correspondents today after a meeting which the Vice President presided over to reach amicable solution on the South-West regional security outfit, Akeredolu disclosed that both parties have agreed to work out the legal framework for its operation.
Also speaking at the State House, Malami told reporters that both parties are now on the same page to work on the legality of the outfit.
