Uyo- Mrs Cecilia Festus, the Head Teacher of Qua Iboe Church Primary School at Ikot Oku Ikono in Uyo, has appealed to the Akwa Ibom government on teaching facilities.
Festus told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Thursday in Uyo that government needed to provide her school with more teaching and learning facilities.
She however commended the state government on its policy of free and compulsory education in the state.
The head teacher said the number of pupils in schools had increased tremendously due to the free education policy of the state government.
“This is why we are appealing to the state government to provide more teaching and learning facilities.
“As a listening father, I have the strong belief that our governor will come to the aid of our schools because the facilities on ground are over stretched.
“Look at our buildings, the roofs are all leaking and we don’t have enough desks for the pupils to sit on,” she said.(NAN)
