AGWADA (NASARAWA) – Gov. Tanko Al-Makura of Nasarawa State on Friday promised to construct Keffi Junction/Agwada/Udege Mbeki road to boost the economy of the state if elected.
Al-Makura made the promise when he addressed supporters of All Progressives Congress during campaign at Agwada, Kokona Local Government Area, of the state.
He said the construction of the road would not only boost the socio-economic development of the state but would also reduce poverty among the rural dwellers.
The governor said “I am here to solicit your support and votes to enable me and other candidates of our great party –APC- to win the election in February and to ensure continuity.
“I will construct Keffi junction, Agwada/Udege Mbeki road in order to reduce your suffering as well as boosting the socio-economic development of this area, the state and the country”, he said.

According to him, his administration will also complete the Kokona bridge currently under construction.
He called on eligible voters who were yet to collect their Permanent Voter Cards to do so to enable them to vote for the candidates of their choice during the elections.
Al-Makura also called on the electorate to support the presidential and other candidates of APC at the polls.
He called on the voters to protect their votes in order to ensure free, fair and acceptable elections during.
The governor urged the people, especially the youths, to be law abiding, respect constituted authority and shun violent acts.
He called on the people to embrace peace and tolerate one another irrespective of ethnic, religious and political affiliations. (NAN)
