LAFIA – Gov. Umaru Al-Makura of Nasarawa State on Thursday urged security operatives to disarm and demobilise all militia groups in the country before the general elections in 2015.
Al-Makura made the call in Lafia at the Security Summit organised by the state command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC).

He said there was need for security agencies to re-strategise their approach in order to nip the emerging trend in the bud to ensure peaceful and credible polls in 2015.
Al-Makura also said there was need for adequate funding and equipping of all security agencies.
