Maj. Hamza Al-Mustapha, former ADC to the late Head of State, Gen. Sani Abacha, has donated relief materials to some communities recently embroiled in clashes in southern Kaduna, Kaduna State.
Al-Mustapha made the donation in Kafanchan in Kaduna State on Saturday during his advocacy visit to some traditional rulers in the area.
The materials included foodstuff, mats, blankets, mosquito nets and bundles of zinc.
He urged the people to eschew all forms of bitterness and seek peace for the development of the area.
He expressed concern over the extent of loss of lives and property as a result of crises, adding that such behaviour was not acceptable in any human society.
Al-Mustapha appealed to the youths to tolerate and accommodate one another and shun all tendencies that could lead to bloodshed.
Addressing internally displaced persons at the LEA Primary School, Fadan, Al-Mustapha told them to consider the situation they found themselves as an act of God.
He promised to assist in bringing lasting peace in every way possible to the area.
Al-Mustapha called for a consultative committee made up of representatives of all aggrieved parties to chart a new course.
Responding, the traditional rulers of Kagoro, Takad, Moroa, Jema’a and Bajju thanked him for the initiative, saying it was timely.
