There was an early morning fire outbreak in Abuja headquarters of the Nigeria’s Football governing body – the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF).
The fire affected the scribe’s office as well as the account unit on the second floor of the football glass house.
The officials of the fire services have arrived the premises to put out the fire.
The cause of the inferno our correspondent said is not yet known as at the time of filling this report, but we got confirmation of the incident from one of the senior officials who craved anonymity, as the spokesperson could not be reached.[eap_ad_2]
It was widely reported on Monday that a mild drama ensued between the just reinstated NFF President, Aminu Maigari when he arrived the headquarters as Victor Umeh, the vice chair, who had been until then the acting chairman, refused to vacate the office, despite the Sports Minister, Tamuno Danagogo’s order reinstating Maigari.
Umeh, alongside Chief Segun Odegbami and Taiwo Ogunjobi were disqualified last week from contesting the NFF presidential election, which is slated for next week, August 26.
