ABUJA (Sundiata Post) – Ogun State Governor Ibikunle Amosun, Benue State Governor Samuel Ortom and former Chief of Army Staff, Lt.-Gen. Abdulrahman Dambazau, are among public officers who made President Muhammadu Buhari’s entourage to the 25th African Union Summit holding in Johannesburg, South Africa.
The Nigerian delegation left on Saturday in what will be President Buhari’s first continental assignment since assuming office on May 29.
While in South Africa, Buhari will chair a meeting of the peace and security committee of the AU Summit and hold a number of bilateral meetings that will consolidate his ongoing drive to secure Nigeria and the neighboring countries from Boko Haram.
President Buhari will return to Nigeria on the morning of Tuesday, June 16.
