The Special Adviser on Political Matters to Gov. Willie Obaino Chief Joe-Martins Uzodike made the call on Sunday at Nibo near Awka during a stakeholders meeting of Presidents-General of communities.
He stressed the need for the people to participate in the revalidation exercise and ensure they obtain their permanent voter cards.
He said that about 1.8 million voters were registered in the state previously out of which about 1.3 million participated in the previous elections.
“This is the time for the people of the state to actualise their dreams of having the power to vote people of their choice.
“Let us ensure that all those whose names are in the voters’ register collect their permanent voter cards.
“Those who have attained 18 years or did not register in the past should do so now,” he pleaded.
