The Anambra State governorship election is exposing the political weight of last-minute defectors into the All Progressives Congress, APC, as most of them aren’t delivering the figures.
The member representing Aguata 1 Constituency in the Anambra State House of Assembly, Hon Carter Umeh who joined the APC from the All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA, has been thoroughly beaten in his polling unit.
In the result sheet obtained by JOURNALIST101, the lawmaker, who led other lawmakers to APC could only garner 25 votes out of the 95 votes cast in his polling unit.
APGA won with 42 votes while PDP got 23 votes.
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has since announced the extension of voting to Sunday.
This extension is as a result of the failure of the Bimodal Voter Accreditation System, BVAS which didn’t start working in most places until noon.” (Journalist101)
