AWKA -Mr Chude Anali, the Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice in Anambra, says the ministry has commenced plans to review and update all out-dated laws of the state.
Anali disclosed this in Awka on Monday while outlining the achievements of the ministry in one year of the Gov. Willie Obiano’s administration.
The commissioner told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) that laws in the state were last revised in 1991.

He said that the ministry had drafted eight Memoranda of Understanding and had prepared 20 agreements and 11 bills geared toward the realisation of the vision of the governor.
The attorney-general lauded the governor for approving the training of some law officers in specialised legal areas at the Nigeria Institute of Advance Legal Studies in Lagos.

According to him, the gesture will ensure continuous legal training for lawyers.
He, however, appealed to the governor to equip the law libraries with books as well as provide amenities and furniture in the ministry’s out-stations. (NAN)
