Ilaro (Ogun) – Former Minister of State for Education, Sen. Iyabo Anisulowo, on Friday, lauded Ogun and Federal Governments for providing platform for inter agencies collaboration in the security sector.
Anisulowo made the commendation when she received a delegation from the State House of Assembly in her residence at Ilaro.
She said such collaboration among various security outfits led to her release from captivity.
She her release was a divine grace arising from inter-agency collaboration which included the Local Vigilante Service in Yewa North.
She expressed gratitude to the government and people of the state for their prayers while in the kidnappers den, adding that she remained resolute in her service to God and humanity.
“I appreciate the government and the good people of the state for their prayers and support while in captivity.
“I will remain resolute in my service to God and humanity.”
Mr Suraj Adekunbi, Speaker of the Assembly, enjoined Anisulowo not to relent in her unwavering service to God, saying that her release was divinely ordained.
He lauded the prompt intervention of Gov. Ibikunle Amosun and security agents for their role in her release.
The Speaker said that the state will not condone any criminal activities.
He said that the Federal Government should continue to provide the security personnel with modern day equipment.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), recalls that Anisulowo was kidnapped on April 27 on Sawonjo/Iganokoto road in Yewa-South area of the state.
NAN also recalls that Anisulowo was rescued by the police on Tuesday at about 7 p.m. at Gbegbelawo village near Olorunda town in Abeokuta North Council area. (NAN)
