AKURE (SUNDIATA POST)- A Chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ondo State, Dr Femi Adekanmbi, has commended the youths of Ondo State for their decision not to protest against the government but dialogue.
Adekanmbi, a former state Commissioner for Special Duties, Culture and Tourism, gave the commendation in a statement on Saturday in Akure,
He described the stand of the youths as patriotic and supportive of the current government.
Adekanmbi lauded the youth for their maturity and understanding of the current situation in the country.
He stated that their decision not to protest was a testament to their loyalty and commitment to the development of the state and Nigeria.
According to him, the youths of Ondo State have shown that they are true patriots who are committed to the progress and development of our dear state.
“Their decision not to protest is a clear indication of their support for the government’s initiatives and policies, aimed at moving the state forward.
“Gov. Lucky Aiyedatiwa’s proactive approach to addressing the concerns of the youth has helped to prevent any form of protest in the state.
“The various meetings he held with the stakeholders are commendable and have significant effects as per the protest,” he said.
Adekanmbi also applauded President Bola Tinubu for his commitment to infrastructure development in the state.
He said that the approved road projects, Benin/Akure/Ilesa Road and Ore/Akure/Ondo Road would have a significant impact on the state’s economy and the well-being of the citizens.
Adekanmbi, therefore, urged youths in the state to continue to be supportive of the government.
He encouraged them to always express their opinions and grievances through peaceful and constructive means.
He appealed to youths to remain calm and peaceful, even in the face of challenges.
Adekanmbi, who met with various youth groups across the state prior to Aug. 1, thanked the youth of the state for adhering to his advice not to be part of the protests.
“We understand that there may be difficulties but the President is working hard to address them,” he said. (NAN)
