The All Progressives Congress (APC) executives in Okitipupa Local Government, along with party leaders, have unanimously expressed their support for Hon. Olowolafe Adetarami Mighty as the chairmanship candidate for the upcoming local government election.
Their decision is based on his track record and contributions as the current Special Adviser to the Governor of Ondo State on Mobilization.
Since 2015, when he contested under the APC umbrella for the House of Assembly, Olowolafe has demonstrated unwavering commitment to the party, despite losing at the general election.
Over the years, he has consistently financed party activities, ensuring the APC maintains strong structures in the area.
In 2019, Hon. Olowolafe empowered people with disabilities, and during the challenging COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, he provided support to over 100 farmers in Igbotako Ward 1 and Ward 2.
Unlike others who switched parties multiple times seeking political power, Olowolafe remained steadfast in the APC, investing his resources to strengthen the party during difficult times.
Within two months of his appointment as Special Adviser to the Governor, H.E. Lucky Aiyedatiwa, Olowolafe supported over 2,000 students in the local government with writing materials.
His tireless efforts during elections, including moving between polling units and branding campaign materials such as cars, billboards, vests, and caps, contributed significantly to APC’s success in the last election.
Hon. Bode Ikulala, Chairman of APC in Okitipupa Local Government, commended Governor Aiyedatiwa for giving Olowolafe the platform to showcase his capabilities.
He urged all party leaders and members to differentiate between loyal party men and those he described as “position hunters.”
He criticized aspirants who abandoned the party in the past, only to return when opportunities arose.
Hon. Sesan, the Vice Chairman, expressed gratitude for witnessing Olowolafe’s support from the party leaders.
Similarly, Mr. Tokunbo Akinbobola, Chairman of Igbotako Ward 2, and Mrs. Agbeye Balogun, the Ward Women Leader, called for unity and cooperation among party executives to ensure Olowolafe’s success in the forthcoming election.
Hon. Arowosegbe Abuta also appealed to APC leaders and executives to rally behind Olowolafe, emphasizing his dedication and hard work for the party over the years.
The APC executives and leaders in Okitipupa Local Government have shown a clear preference for Hon. Olowolafe Adetarami Mighty as the candidate who will bring hope and progress to the people, urging all stakeholders to support his candidacy in the upcoming election.
