PORT HARCOURT – Rivers State PDP governorship aspirant, Chief Nyesom Wike has declared that the All Progressives Congress (APC) has no place in the state as its promoters have nothing to show for their stay in government
Wike spoke in Port Harcourt on Sunday when he hosted Bonny community leaders and professionals under the aegis of Bonny Democratic Front.
He noted that the facts on ground across Rivers State point to infrastructural decay, poor educational facilities, inhumane government and poor human capital development, saying the people of the state could no longer put up with false propaganda.
He said: “APC has no place in Rivers State. Anyone who claims to be fronting APC should be bold enough to show us their report card.
“They have failed woefully in the state and there is need for the people to take their destinies in their hands. APC must pack and leave Rivers State. Their false propaganda and grandstanding are meant to divert attention from their failure”.
Earlier, coordinator of the Bonny Democratic Front, Alfred Allison Wari Senibo said that the Bonny people stood behind the candidacy of President Goodluck Jonathan and Wike.
He said even before emerging as governor, Wike working in Jonathan’s administration facilitated the siting of Federal Polytechnic of Oil and Gas in Bonny. He said that Bonny people have keyed into the project because it is for the benefit of the larger community.
Also speaking, Bonny LGA PDP chairman, Mr Simon Hart commended the Bonny Democratic Front for working towards the victory of Barrister Wike at the governorship primary.
