ABUJA, – The leadership of the APC is planning a strategic meeting with over seven million Nigerian [pro_ad_display_adzone id=”10″]young professionals, ahead of the 2015 general elections.
This is contained in a statement issued by Dr Nuhu Atta, the Executive Secretary of the Nigerian Young Professionals Forum (NYPF) on Saturday in Abuja.
The statement said the proposed meeting was an off-shoot of a roundtable of young political leaders

convened by Moses Siasia, NYPF Chairman on Jan. 14.
It said the meeting, which was chaired by Prof. Chidi Odinkalu, the Chairman of the National Human Rights Commission, urged political parties to present a blueprint of their youth development agenda.
“The meeting had in attendance young people from all political parties who made a strong commitment to speak with the presidential candidates of all political parties, ahead of the 2015 elections.
“This is aimed at ensuring a bright future for the young generation.
“News reaching us indicates that Mr Ismail Ahmed, APC Youth Leader, is working hard to ensure that young professionals meet with Gen. Muhammadu Buhari and Prof. Yemi Osibanjo.
“This is an indication that the opposition party is committed to ensuring youth participation and engagement in the political process.
According to the statement, over seven million young professional both at home and abroad insist that only presidential candidate who convinces them will get their support.
The statement said that President Goodluck Jonathan attended the young professionals’ summit, held in Abuja in August, 2014. (NAN)
