ENUGU – The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Enugu State is set to conduct congresses in all the 260 wards in the state on Saturday, a party official has said.
The chairperson of the party in the state, Mrs Joy Ebe, told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Enugu on Thursday that candidates for the 22 positions in each ward looked forward to Saturday.
“On our part here, we are ready but we are waiting for our congress officials from Abuja to finalise all the arrangements. People are already paying into the party’s account for the form but the forms are not here yet.
“The officials from Abuja will bring the forms and only then can we know the exact number of people contesting. But I can assure you that people are showing interest in all the wards,’’ Ebe said.
She said the recent nationwide registration of party members had not been concluded in the state, saying that it is still continuing. (NAN)
