Ikorodu (Lagos State) – The APC Candidate Mr Babajimi Benson has been declared winner of the House of Representative elections for Ikorodu Federal Constituency.
Mr Falobi Oluwole Victor, the Returning Officer, made the declaration on Sunday, at the INEC office in Ikorodu.
He said that the total number of accredited voters was 89,129.
According to him, the total votes cast were 82,828; with total number of valid votes being 77,877 and
total number of rejected votes, 4951.
He gave a breakdown of the votes per political party as AD, 216; APC, 48,789; PDP, 28,691; LP 165; and MPPP, 16.

“I, Falobi Oluwole Victor, hereby declare APC candidate winner of this election simply because he scored the highest score of 48,789,” Falobi said.
In an interview with NAN, Mr Babajimi Benson, said he was pleased to have been declared winner of the elections.
“I am grateful to the people of Ikorodu for their support and for making me their choice.
“I will endeavour to sponsor bills that, when passed, would further the economy and quality of life of Ikorodu residents,” he said.
He commended INEC for what he termed “a free, fair, and credible,” election, adding that the process was also peaceful.” (NAN)
