The National Chairman of the party, Chief Victor Umeh, said this in Umuoji, Idemili North Local Government Area, Anambra, during his senatorial campaign rally in the area.
Umeh said APGA had no doubt that Jonathan had the qualities to lead the country and continue with the dividends of democracy his administration had given to the citizenry.
He said the party was opposed to shifting the dates for the general elections.
Umeh said that it was imperative to note that the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) had indicated its preparedness for the exercise.
Umeh, who is also the APGA Senatorial candidate for Anambra Central, said his party was ready for the elections as scheduled.
“We are ready for the elections. They should not postpone it. There is no need for it. They should allow the elections to take place.
“I do not see any need to shift the date, INEC says it is ready.
“It is only INEC that can determine whether to postpone elections or not and they have not said that they need more time to organise the election,” he said. (NAN)
