Appeal Court Verdict: You’re structureless, say the truth – Member-elect advises PDP

Abuja (Sundiata Post) – Hon. Dickson Chollom, Member-elect for Barkin-Ladi Constituency in the Plateau State House of Assembly, has advised the leadership of People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Plateau State to reveal the truth and stop pretending about their structureless situation. https://sundiatapost.com/security-avert-bloodshed-in-jos-as-apc-pdp-clash-over-appeal-court-verdict/

Chollom bared his mind while interacting with newsmen after his victory at Court Appeal.

The member-elect urged PDP to let their followers know that there is a fundamental  internal problem in their party.

They should  stop blaming the Appeal Court and the All Progressives Congress (APC) for their woes.

“There is a need for us to seriously clarify the understanding of people.

“PDP has failed to tell their followers the true position of things and that is why we are experiencing mixed feelings about the court judgements.

“People have been misinformed, and they are expecting something out of nothing.

“The leadership of the ruling party on the Plateau is not telling their followers the true position of things on the Plateau case and it is corrupting the minds of many with fake information. https://sundiatapost.com/appeal-court-judgment-plateau-gov-mutfwang-calls-for-calm-heads-to-supreme-court/

“I feel it is necessary to clear air on this because Plateau people need to know and should stop throwing blind stones”, he stated.

Chollom pointed out that even though he is not a lawyer, he knew that court orders are to be obeyed.

According to him, every case has its own serial number and if there are decided cases, they will remain there as reference points to other cases.

“Since 2020, I believe that was when the problem started and it was an internal problem of the PDP.

“It was a disagreement between PDP and PDP which was an internal squabble, but later dovetailed in Court and it became a national issue.

“So, people should understand that court issues are no longer internal issues, but public issues.

“I wonder why the PDP is saying it is an internal issue and pre election matter.

“A case was decided against them and they were ordered to go back and conduct proper congresses by both lower and appellate courts,” he added

Chollom further advised PDP against whipping up religious and ethnic  sentiments to gain sympathy of innocent Plateau people.
