Appiah to officiate Falcons/Mali clash

Ghanaian referee Joyce Obenewa Appiah will be at centre when Nigeria’s ’s Team, Falcons, take on their Malian counterparts on Friday for a spot at the Women’s Football Tournament of the 11th All- Games.

Appiah will be assisted by compatriots Emmanuella Aglago, Beatrice Thaud and Theresa Bremansu who are Assistant Referee 1, Assistant Referee 2 and Reserve Referee respectively.

The Match Commissioner is Pedro Alogo Abeku, from Equatorial Guinea. The match is scheduled for Friday, April 10 at the National Stadium, . Both teams tied 1-1 in the first leg played in Bamako on March 21.

Officials confirmed on Wednesday that the Malian delegation would arrive in Abuja at 5pm today (Wednesday) aboard an ASKY Airline aircraft.
