Abuja (Sundiata Post) – A Christian group under the aegis of AREWA Christians and Indigenous Pastors Association (ACIPA), has congratulated the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Governor-elect Barr. Caleb Muftwang of Plateau State, for emerging winner of the 2023 governorship election.
This was contained in a statement made available to newsmen on Wednesday.
The statement which was signed by the Chairman of the group, Rev. . Luke Shehu, called on Mutfwang to deliver the dividends of democracy to the people of the State, reminding him that his victory is a victory for the Plateau People.
According to him: I urge you to utilize your new office as a pivot for the dividends of democracy for the people of the State.
“As citizens of Plateau, we owe it a collective responsibility to pray for peace and tranquillity In the State and for our country, to enable us to have a conducive environment for good governance”.
” In any election like the one we just had, a winner must emerge and life will continue, we must move forward for the interest of the development of our dear State, we must put the last election behind us to allow for the development of Plateau, “the only State, we call our own”.
He continued: “This victory of Mutfwang is the victory of the people of Plateau cutting across religious and tribal lines.
“Congratulations to the people of Plateau in charting a new path of liberation in unity for development.
“The celebration on the faces of the people and on the streets speaks volume compared to the graveyard silence everywhere in Nigeria that followed the announcement of the questionable Presidential election result.
“ACIPA sincerely commends the efforts of the security operatives in the State, with special reference to the DSS, Army, Operation Safe Haven and the NSCDC”, he said.
