If you’re waking up this morning and thinking, “Eurgh, this grey, drizzly Monday morning really couldn’t get any worse”, then you’d be wrong, It’s about to get soooooooooo much worse.
Ariana Grande and Pete Davidson have reportedly split up.
According to TMZ, the engaged couple have called time on their five month relationship.
A source said that 25-year-old Ariana and Pete, 24, split over the weekend, “with both parties acknowledging that it simply was not the right time for their relationship to take off.” The source added that the couple still loves each other, but TMZ claims that “things are over romantically.”
Maybe we should have seen this coming when both of them skipped the AMAs last week, and Pete covered up his Ariana neck tattoo.
We first heard murmurings that Ariana and Pete were dating when they were spotted getting close at the Billboard Music Awards in May. “After Ariana’s performance, they were backstage and he had his arm around her,” a source told People. “They seemed very lovey-dovey. He was hanging out with her and her friends with his arm around her. She seemed quite smitten.”
After a number of reports saying the couple were engaged, Pete confirmed the news by posting a photo of Ariana’s giant ring, with the caption: “U know what you’d dream it be like? It’s better than that.”
Neither Ariana nor Pete have confirmed or denied the news that they’ve split. But we’ll keep you updated if/when they do.
