Port Harcourt-Maj. Musa Buhari, the Chief Imam of 2 Brigade of Nigerian Army, Port Harcourt, on Thursday called on Nigerians to use pray against insurgency in the country.
Buhari made the call during the Armed Forces Remembrance/Day celebration in Port Harcourt.
The Imam said that praying together as one country would return peace to the North East affected by insurgency.
Buhari urged the people to offer prayers for the governor of the state to discharge his duties and ensure good governance.
Capt. Christian Jiddere, the Chaplain of the 2 Brigade, also called for prayers for the departed souls of the fallen heroes.
Jiddere said most of the departed personnel being remembered died in active service for their fatherland.
“Some of these soldiers died while on duty in Liberia, Sudan and North East part of the country.

“Remembering them on this day serves as an honour and respect for their families’’, he said.
Flt. Lt. Emediong Udiong, the Chaplain of 97 Special Operations, Air Force Base, Port Harcourt, said unity was what Nigeria needed most for the upcoming general elections.
He called on Nigerians to embrace peace as the only tool for the sustenance of development in the country.
