ABUJA (Sundiata Post) – The Nigerian Army has raised to N1m reward for anyone with useful information that could lead to the rescue of its abducted officer, Colonel Samaila Inusa.
The Army authority had earlier promised N500,000 cash reward for the informant, but it on Monday raised by 100 per cent.
The Deputy Director of Army Public Relations (DDAPR), 1 Division Nigerian Army, Col. Abdul Usman disclosed this in a statement on Monday, saying that the Army was doing everything necessary to ensure that the kidnapped officer was rescued.
Abdul assured that the military authorities would give adequate protection to anyone who provides the required information, adding that it would be treated with utmost confidentiality.
He said: “In its efforts to rescue the abducted senior officer, the Nigerian Army has raised reward for anyone with useful information that could lead to the rescue of its abducted officer to one million naira.
“In addition, the authority has pledged to give adequate protection to anyone willing to provide the required information with utmost confidentiality.”
Inusa was whisked away in his Mercedes Benz car by gunmen suspected to be kidnappers around kamazo, near NNPC Junction, Kaduna on Saturday night.
According to the statement on Suanday by Abdul confirming the incident, “the abductors dropped off Colonel Inusa’s wife and left with him in his car. The car headed towards Abuja.

The authorities has not named any suspect yet.
