ABUJA- Kehinde Oladele from Ogun Wednesday defeated Taraba’s Gbenga Ajulo 4 – 3 in the main draw of the men’s singles event of the 11th Aso Table Tennis Club National Championship.
The championship holding at the Indoor Sports Hall of the Abuja National Stadium is being held in collaboration with the Nigeria Table Tennis Federation (NTTF).
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that Oladele won the match 11-8, 3-11, 8-11, 11-6, 10-12,11-9, 11-6.

Both players struggled to outwit each other, with excellent serves on their part.
At the end of the match, the number 12-ranked Oladele told NAN that he was happy to have won the match.
“I am happy that I won the match. When I found out that I was going to play Ajulo, I decided to work hard and improve myself and I am happy I made it.
“Ajulo is a good player and I wish him well in his career,” he said.
In some of the day’s other matches, number one seed Seun Ajetunmobi who is Nigeria’s third-ranked player defeated Sunday Ayodele 4 – 0 (11-8, 11-9, 11-7,12-10).
Boboye Oyeniyan from Ondo State lost to Hameed Adeyinka 7-11, 9-11, 7-11, 8-11.
NAN reports that more than 200 players from 25 states and the FCT are taking part in the championship.(NAN)
