Lagos, – The Association of Senior Civil Servants of Nigeria (ASCSN) has appointed Mr Joshua Apebo as the Secretary General of the association to succeed the incumbent, Mr Alade Lawal.
According to a statement signed by the National President, Mr Tommy Okon, and Secretary General, Lawal, on Wednesday in Lagos, Apebo will assume the position with effect from Jan. 1, 2023.
“Apebo was the Deputy Secretary General of the Association from March 1, 2019 until his elevation to the post of Secretary General.
“He joined the service of ASCSN on Jan. 5, 2001. Apebo has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Public Administration in 1998 from the Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria.
“Also, he has Master of Science degree in Public Administration in 2007 from the University of Maiduguri, Maiduguri,” the statement reads in part.
It said that Apebo had attended series of trade union courses, seminars and workshops which had impacted positively on his performance.
“Apebo has served the association in Borno, Adamawa, and Benue.
“On May 1, 2014, Apebo was promoted to the post of Assistant Secretary-General and transferred to the national headquarters of the association in Lagos,” according to the statement.(NAN)
