Abuja (Sundiata Post)-The Owerri Zone of the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) has condemned what it described as poor academic conditions at the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, Ogbomosho, Oyo State.

The union highlighted the lack of infrastructure, poor funding and inadequate provision of welfare for staff and students.

Led by the Zonal Coordinator, ASUU Owerri zone, Comrade Uzo Onyebinama, the union, therefore, called on the Oyo and Osun state governments, the joint owners of the institution, to immediately fund the university and address all welfare issues concerning the staff and students.

According to them, they chose not to remain silent on the issues, noting that “an injury to one, is an injury to all”.
