Awesome Kids Academy Celebrates 2nd Graduation Ceremony

ABUJA (Sundiata Post) Awesome Kids Academy, a crèche, nursery and primary school institution has celebrated her 2nd graduation and price giving ceremony.

The event which was well attended by parents, sponsors and the school kids held on Thursday at the school’s compound in Gwarimpa, Abuja.

In her opening remarks, the Executive Director and Proprietor of the school, Dr Mrs N.A Odocha stated that it has been a very interesting session for the school with lots of cultural, educational, sporting and competitive activities.

She said: ‘’There were many class fieldtrips this session. In the first term, Early Years Children visited Park and Playground at Dei Dei. In 2nd term they visited National Children’s Park and Zoo and 3rd term they visited the Train Station at Idu and Jabi Mall. Pupils in Primary section visited Usman Dam, Science and Art Exhibition and National Space Research Agency.

‘’Our Inter-House Sports Festival this session was very good. The Four Houses participated actively, and the competition was stiff.

‘’We had the open day, where parents have one on one discussion with their children’s teachers. We also celebrated the World Book Day on 1st of March. We had club activities from dance to drama and swimming.

‘’Our awesome children participated in both internal and external competitions. Our trial participation in the National Steam Fair 2018 Big Idea Project surprisingly turned out more than expected as judges and audience were wowed with Awesome Kids Academy’s creation of Hydro-Ponics and Aero-Ponics system of Agriculture.’’

According to Dr Odocha, the school has also acquired a School Management Software, an international school database management application. They have also acquired projectors, laptops and organises weekly trainings for members of staff.

According to the PTA Chairman, Dr Onuoha Ogba, the academic year has seen remarkable innovations in the school’s learning environment.

‘’For some of us, the journey with the school was serendipitous, and for some it began through a vowed testaments of cultured learning. But I dare say that whether through testimony or serendipity the serenity of the mind that has come with having our kids catered to by such committed teachers and management has been an invaluable one,’’ he said.

The school’s Director of Administration, Ebere Odocha-Ezeocha expressed her excitement over the success of the event and stated that both parents and the school kids can look forward to many more interesting activities next session.
