ENUGU (Sundiata Post) – The festering political crisis in Rivers State is expected to top discussions at the Peoples Democratic Party Governors’ Forum holding today in Enugu, capital of Enugu State.
Insider source hinted that the unresolved issue of the National Working Committee (NWC) of the party could also take centre stage.
It is also traditional for the meeting to undertake the usual peer review and consideration of the state of the nation.
“The PDPGF Chairman Governor Bala Mohammed is spearheading a massive effort at rebuilding the party as a springboard for regaining the confidence of members across the country and by extension, improving on the electoral fortunes of the party and to play a more effective constructive role as the nation’s foremost opposition,” the source said.
At press time last night, no fewer than 10 of the governors elected on the platform had converged on the Coal City for the crucial meeting.
