New York – With provisional results being released after a slate of elections in Comoros, UN Secretary-General, Ban Ki-moon has urged candidates, other actors and institutions to play by the rules and refrain from violence.
“The Secretary-General is following with concern the developments in Comoros since the publication by the National Independent Electoral Commission (CENI) of the provisional results.
“The results are in respect of primary elections of President of the Union of Comoros and the first round of elections of Governors of Islands of Grand Comoros, Anjouan and Mohéli.”[pro_ad_display_adzone id=”70560″]
According to spokesman for Ban, he urged the Government, the candidates and all the other actors and institutions involved in the electoral process to play by the rules and refrain from the use of violence. (PANA/NAN)
