United Nations- Secretary-General Ban Ki-Moon on Tuesday challenged judges of UN Appeals Tribunal to ensure that individuals and organisations were held accountable for their actions in accordance with relevant rules and regulations.
Ban made the call while swearing in Judge Deborah Thomas-Felix in New York.
The UN chief said: “the tribunal is also responsible for ensuring respect for the rights and obligations of members of staff and the accountability of managers alike.
“In its nearly six years of operation, this system of administration of justice has accomplished much, just as the Appeals Tribunal.
“This reflects the dedication and hard work of the judges.
