Bandits killed four policemen and a civilian on Tuesday, when they stormed a tomato processing factory in Gafara, Warra area of Ngaski Local Government Area of Kebbi State.
The target of the terrorists were the 10 expatriates working in the factory.
They appeared to have been resisted by the policemen, leading to the death of the policemen.
In a statement, the Kebbi Police Command said the 10 expatriates were rescued.
The Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) of the command, SP Nafi’u Abubakar, confirmed the death of the four police officers and a civilian.
The tomato factory is owned by GB Foods, an international company.
It has Vincent Egbe as MD of the Nigerian branch.
