Dhaka – The Bangladesh cricket team, which narrowly escaped the terrorist attack on a mosque in New Zealand, will return home on Saturday, an official said.
The 19-member team is expected to land in Dhaka on Saturday night, said Rabeed Imam, Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) spokesman on Friday.
Members of the national team had wanted to offer Friday prayers at the mosque, ahead of their third test match against host New Zealand, which has now been called off.
The match was called off after the attack left at least 49 people killed and dozen others wounded.(dpa/NAN)
