Bauchi – Gov. Mohammed Abubakar of Bauchi State has approved the appointment of Mrs Jummai Bello as the Managing Director of Bauchi Radio Corporation.
The appointment is contained in a statement issued on Tuesday by the Secretary to the State Government, Malam Bello Ilelah.
Aged 55 and a 1982 Mass Communication graduate of Bayero University, Kano, until her recent appointment, she was the Director of News and Current Affairs of the station.
A former Director of National Orientation Agency (NOA) in charge of Bauchi State, Bello now becomes the first female to hold the position of the Managing Director of the station.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that Bello replaces Alhaji Maigari Kanna who retired after putting up 35 years in the service of Bauchi State government
The statement also announced the appointment of Mrs Fatima Halilu as the Director-General, Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) and the reappointment of Mr Nura Danmadami as the Director-General, Debt Management Agency. (NAN)
