Bayelsa Assembly polls: PDP in clear lead, Presidency ‘candidates’ defeated

Indications have emerged that the State candidates in the rescheduled in Sagbama, Southern Ijaw and Kolokuma-Opokuma constituencies are already coasting home to victory.

A visit to the various collation Centres in most of the polling units shows that the PDP candidates in Kolokuma-Opokuma LGA are clearly in the lead.

Hon. Tonye Isenah of KOLGA constituency 1 and Hon. Ongore Ebikeme Joshua of constituency 2 are leading by a wide margin.

Also All Grand Alliance candidates allegedly sponsored by the First Lady, Dame Patience Jonathan and Waripamowei Dudafa were roundly defeated at the despite what a source described as “their undue interference and manipulation of the process.”

Similarly, reports of the result filtering in the other constituencies in Sagbama, Ekeremor and Southern Ijaw LGAs also clearly reveal that all the PDP candidates are clearly in the lead.

A source said, “ is very certain that PDP have clean sweep of all the 8 constituencies in the rescheduled polls conducted today (Saturday April 18 2015.”

Meanwhile, State , Hon. Henry Seriake Dickson after casting his votes along with his wife, Rachael, at his hometown in polling Unit 5, Orue-Ereware at Toru- Orua, Sagbama Ward 2 in Sagbama LGA, commended INEC and security agencies for the orderly conduct of the polls.
