Bayelsa blogger apologises to Kogi over N7b isolation centre’s report

A blogger based in Bayelsa State, Saint Mienpamo Onitsha, has apologised to the Kogi State Governor, Yahaya Bello, following report alleging that he intended to spend N7bn the Kogi for -19, which was destroyed by a rainstorm.

The report published in May 2020 blog,, generated controversies, led to arrest and arraignment at the Federal High .

But Onitsha, in a statement Tuesday, admitted that the publication was false and begged the governor and the state government to forgive him.

He said: “ hereby render an unreserved over a publication, which posted on website, on May 2, 2020, entitled, ‘ cost us N7 naira to build and equip the Kogi for -19 which rain destroyed, says Yahaya Bello’.
