Yenagoa – The Police in Bayelsa on Thursday said detectives from the Anti-Kidnapping/Anti-Vice Unit had arrested five suspected kidnappers.
Mr Asinim Butswat, a DSP, and the Spokesman of the state Police Command, made this known in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN).
Butswat said officials of the unit stormed a hotel premises in Swali Community, Yenagoa, following a tip-off and arrested the suspects.
He said the suspects were planning to launch an attack on a yet-to-be identified location.
According to him, the suspects are currently undergoing interrogation. (NAN)
