YENAGOA – The Independent National Electoral Commission has officially announced the winner of the Bayelsa State governorship election following the rerun held on Saturday in Southern Ijaw LGA and 101 units across the state. Incumbent Governor Seriake Dickson polled 137,312 votes.
This is against 88,122 voted scored by his closest rival, former Governor Timipre Sylva, candidate of the All Peoples Congress (APC).[pro_ad_display_adzone id=”70560″]
The final results from Southern Ijaw LGA has been announced.
Dickson, had 105,748 votes previously, while APC’s Sylva had 71,749 votes before the supplementary elections.
With the supplementary results (before Southern Ijaw), Dickson added 6,169 to make 114,231 votes, while Sylva added 4,042 to make 77,906 votes.

The total votes stood at 137,312 votes for Dickson while Sylva had 88,122 votes.
