LAGOS – Akin Aina, the Chairman of Badagry Divisional Football Association (BDFA) on Wednesday lauded OWIBESEB beach soccer team for their brilliant performance at the maiden International Keta Beach Challenge Cup.
Aina told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Lagos that the team won the tournament after defeating their opponents at the two-day event held in Ghana.
The tournament took place from April 20 to April 21.
He noted that their victory was an attestation of the measures adopted by the association to promote beach soccer development in the area.

“Our effort in promoting beach soccer in our locality is already yielding results.
“OWIBESEB beach team’s exploit at the invitational tournament in Accra is a plus for development of beach soccer in Badagry.
“The team has been given automatic ticket as the defending champion for the 2016 edition,” he said.
The chairman re-stated his commitment to the development of beach soccer at the grassroots.
He, however, appealed to corporate bodies to support the effort of the association in enhancing the sport. (NAN)
