Ibadan-Alhaji Muniru Ademola, the Chief Executive Officer of Ibadan-based Qiblah Schools, on Wednesday advised graduating students of the institution to be good ambassadors of the school and Nigeria.
Ademola gave the advice in Ibadan at the graduating ceremony for the SSS3 and JSS3 students of the institution.
He said the graduating students must put into practice the morals and the various lessons they had learnt while in school.
“ You need to know that you are going to the world to make positive impact and write your name in gold for the benefit of humanity.
“You are going into a demented society, a world where it now takes extra courage for the righteous to raise their heads.
“ My hope is that in spite of the level to which the world has degenerated, you will be able to adhere to the truth and morals learnt in the school.
“Your parents have played their role and that was why they brought you to Qiblah Schools, now it is left to you to do them proud and likewise the school,’’ he said.
The Guest Lecturer, Alhaji Abdulraheem Abdulrauf, linked immorality in the society with parents who fail in their duties.
Abdulrauf said that the schools and the type of peer groups that children associate with also contribute to the habits demonstrated.
The lecturer, however, advised teachers to teach children what would make them to be useful to the society.
