Abuja – While the number of All Progressives Congress (APC) aspirants jostling for the seat of president ahead of the 2023 general elections continues to rise, some of the aspirants have activated alternative plans should their presidency dreams hit the rocks.
Amongst those with plans to head to senate should their presidential aspiration fail are Minister for Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi, Governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi State, a former Niger Delta Minister, Godswill Akpabio, Senate President Ahmed Lawan and Chief Ogbonanya Onu, former minister of Science and Technology.
A source at the APC national headquarters, said disclosed that the decision of former President Goodluck Jonathan to accept the nomination form of the party, pushed many aspirants to have a rethink as no one is sure of the tide’s directions.
