Benue Commissioner for Works resigns for higher ambition

MAKURDI – Benue Commissioner for Works and Transport, Mr John Ngede, resigned on Wednesday to pursue his ambition as running mate to PDP governorship candidate, Prince Terhemen Tarzoor in 2015 general elections.
The State Commissioner for Information and Orientation, Mr Justin Amase, made this known to newsmen at the end of the State Executive Council Meeting in Makurdi.

Amase said Ngede had been nominated by PDP as running mate to its governorship candidate Prince Terhemen Tarzoor for the 2015 election.

He said the council had accepted his resignation and directed the Chief of Staff to the Governor, Prof. Saint Gilikaa, to oversee the ministry pending when a new commissioner would be appointed.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) recalls that Ngede had also served in the Ministry of Water Resources and Environment. (NAN)
