[eap_ad_1] Ayua, in a statement made available to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Sunday in Makurdi, said that peaceful co-existence was possible if the faithful of the major religions in the state worked for it.
In the statement signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Mr Yakubu Imanche, the Speaker pointed out that Prophet Mohammed was a peace maker.
According to him, the Prophet was peaceful, humble and cheerful, and co-existed with Christians without rancour or bitterness.
He urged them to emulate the virtues exhibited by Prophet Mohammed for the overall benefit of the country.
He further enjoined them to use the Sallah period to pray for the country so that it would surmount its security challenges.
The Speaker further challenged them to imbibe the lessons of the period in order to better their relationship with their neighbours. (NAN)
