Islamabad – Afghan official said bomb hit a checkpoint in the north-western Pakistani city of Peshawar on Tuesday, killing six people and wounding over a dozen.
Manzoor Shah, Khyber Tribal District, Administration Official, said that police guards and paramilitary troops guarding a highway leading to Afghanistan were the targets.
He said a preliminary investigation findings showed that the bomb was planted on a motorcycle parked near the checkpoint.
Shah said it was not yet clear whether it was a suicide attack.
