ABUJA – The Bureau for Public Procurement (BPP) has promised to provide a viable institutional framework to promote synergy and cooperation among all stakeholders.
This is contained in a statement issued in Abuja on Saturday by Mr Thomas Odemwingie, the Media Consultant, Public Relations /Protocol Unit of the bureau.
The statement said the bureau had made proper arrangements to ensure that stakeholders were well informed about its activities through National Public Procurement Forum (NPPF).
The statement said the forum would feature representatives of states that had enacted laws to set up similar regulatory bodies.
It said the aim of the forum was to subscribe to a national platform for the purpose of addressing common challenges in the implementation of the laws.
It listed the stakeholders as the public procurement regulatory authorities at all levels of government, international development partners, civil society group and the media, among other relevant institutions.
It also said that the forum would facilitate knowledge on global best practices among public procurement authorities.
According to it, the forum will undertake advocacy visits to states to promote the implementation of public procurement laws.
It said that the forum would be inaugurated on Monday in Abuja. (NAN)
